British-rock band Coldplay is coming to India in January 2025 as part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025. While the fans were excited to see their favourite band perform live, it was also very disappointing for them as the tickets got sold out within no time. And Suhani Si Ek Ladki actor Poulomi Das was also one of those who was left heartbroken.
She said, “I have been a huge fan of Coldplay for many years now. Their music and concerts are just amazing. It was announced that on 22nd September, the portal would open at 12 pm sharp, but when I opened the portal, it crashed, and I couldn’t get in for 15 minutes. I had four devices ready to access the portal on all of them. However, I was logged out of all four, and the moment I logged in, I found myself in the queue with more than 2-3 lakh people ahead of me. I was very disappointed.”
“When they opened the second slot, I logged in before time, but again, there was a queue of 3 lakh people, which was very disheartening,” she added.
She further shared that there are some people who bought so many tickets and are now selling them in the black market for Rs. 5-7 lakh. She added, “I actually uploaded a story on social media as someone told me he had an extra ticket that I could buy. This guy said he would charge 45 thousand each. I thought I would rather take a flight to Abu Dhabi and watch the show instead. It’s so stupid to spend such money.”
Poulomi feels that booking site Book My Show could have handled this better with proper identification and specific IDs.
She stressed that people have bought tickets without even knowing about the band, and said, “The hype created by everyone is so disheartening that genuine fans like us don’t get to experience that magical moment. I really wish I had gotten a fair chance for tickets. It was a very heavy day, and I was extremely upset and teary-eyed.”
Poulomi also mentioned that she had attended the Coldplay concerts in 2022 and 2021 in Italy. “There was a huge queue there, but luckily, I found my way in. I didn’t buy the tickets online but knew someone at the stadium, so I got them through him. Then, I got extremely sick and was not allowed to fly, so I had to sell my tickets. The backend team was really supportive when I emailed them about it, and they took the two tickets back from me,” she ended.
