Actors reveal their winter skincare secrets !

Winter is here, and not only does our wardrobe need a revamp during the winter months, but our skincare routine also needs to level up. To keep the skin happy, plump, and glowing throughout the winter season, &TV artists share their best-kept secret winter skincare regimes. These include Neha Joshi (Krishna Devi Vajpayee, Atal), Smita Sable (Dhaniya, Bheema), Geetanjali Mishra (Rajesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabhi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Neha Joshi aka Krishna Devi Vajpayee from Atal shares, "Winter is the perfect season to enjoy the chill in the air with a cosy cup of hot chocolate, all while admiring the beauty of nature. However, winter can also be tough on the skin, often leaving it dry and dull. That is why it is essential to keep skin well-protected and moisturized. To maintain my skin’s health, I use a homemade scrub twice a week for gentle exfoliation. My go-to scrub is a blend of oatmeal, orange peel powder, and red lentil powder mixed with rose water. I apply it, letting it sit until it is semi-dry, then gently massage my face before rinsing it with cool water. The results are fantastic! This mixture leaves my skin deeply hydrated and moisturized for three to four days. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to keep their skin glowing and radiant throughout the winter season." Smita Sable aka Dhaniya from Bheema shares, “As winter approaches, I know my skin needs extra care to stay healthy and radiant. I start each day by cleansing with a gentle, hydrating face wash that does not strip away natural oils. I then apply a rosewater toner, which refreshes my skin and preps it for the next step. My go-to moisturizer is a thick, cream-based formula, packed with ingredients like shea butter and almond oil to lock in moisture and create a barrier against dryness. I never skip sunscreen, even in winter as it is essential for protecting the skin from UV rays and preventing premature aging. Twice a week, I exfoliate with a mild homemade scrub made from oatmeal and honey to remove dead skin cells, leaving my skin soft and smooth. And for an extra dose of hydration, I use a sheet mask infused with hyaluronic acid every weekend. It is a wonderful way to relax and rejuvenate my skin. Lastly, staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet helps keep my skin healthy from within. I recommend this winter routine to anyone who wants their skin to feel moisturized and look naturally glowing all season long!"

Geetanjali Mishra, who plays Rajesh in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Winter is a completely different story for me because I have naturally dry skin. Hence, as the temperatures drop, I replace my all-year-round beauty product with a seasonal one. My mother once advised me to use a pack of milk cream and honey, which has worked wonders for my skin. Milk cream, or malai, is one of the best natural moisturizing creams to make your skin supple and soft. You can rely on honey to rid your skin of the bacteria that cause pimples and acne on your face. All you need to do is combine a tablespoon of milk, cream, and honey in a mixing bowl. Apply the mixture to your face and keep it for about 15 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. Ladies with dry skin can try this at least twice a week,, and you will surely love your skin more during winter.” Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says, “In any weather, no skincare remedy will work unless you are well-hydrated. My top winter skincare tip is to drink at least two litres of warm water daily to nourish and hydrate my skin and body from within. I always carry a water bottle with me, whether I am on set or working out. I am a huge fan of natural and organic ingredients like face oils and aloe vera gel to keep my skin moisturized. Alongside drinking plenty of water, I rely on homemade face packs with milk, turmeric, honey, and gram flour (besan) to deeply nourish my skin in winter. Curd is my ultimate winter essential and I apply it to my face twice a week. It is a wonderful hydrating exfoliator that gently removes dead skin cells, reduces blemishes, and works as a spot cleanser. This simple ingredient keeps my skin healthy, radiant, and well-moisturized throughout the winter season.”
